By Noah Buchanan and Lucas Fredette With the AMC show “Better Call Saul” coming to an end, fans are open to a spin off series. One concept that has been tossed around by the television franchise’s loyal fanbase is a show centered around the Salamanca family. According to “Movie Web,” Raymond Cruz, the antagonist “Tuco Salamanca” on both “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul,” is open to reprising his role in another prequel series. In an interview with ScreenRant he said, “It would be great for the Salamancas to all come together and break on a show, that would be amazing. They have so many options; they have such amazing storylines and amazing characters, and that’s what the fans are drawn to.” Fans seem to always enjoy the members of the Salamanca Family. Many fans adore characters Hector Salamanca and Tuco Salamanca in both “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.” A fan favorite is also Lalo Salamanca , a very important character in the later seasons of “Better Call Saul.”
Tuco Salamanca was in a “Breaking Bad” styled PopCorners commercial for this year's Super Bowl. The commercial was a parody of one of Tuco Salamanca's most iconic scenes. It started off with Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) and Walter White (Bryan Cranston) in their RV creating a chip like no one ever tasted before and showing off each flavor they create. The commercial cuts to Tuco Salamanca (Raymond Cruz) acting as someone interested in buying the product. Walter asks to say the product's name (a joke on a very famous quote by Walter White) Tuco replies, “POPCORNERS.” Since this commercial aired, there's been speculation on a possible show based on Tuco Salamanca and his family of Salamanca. Fans of both “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” have asked more of this family and would greatly appreciate this show, but nothing is confirmed.
