By John Arnold Actor Jeremy Renner, commonly known for starring in “The Avengers” as Hawkeye, recently announced in an Instagram post that he had suffered a horrible accident resulting in him breaking over 30 bones. He was left hospitalized with blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. Many have sent their love and support to Renner, who is already on the path to a speedy recovery. Renner’s accident happened on January 1st near his home in Lake Tahoe, where he had gone to celebrate his 52nd birthday, which would come six days later on the 7th. The actor was attempting to remove three feet of heavy snow from his driveway as well as his neighbor's driveway whose car had gotten stuck. Renner used his snowplow to clear the way but when he got out of the vehicle to talk to his neighbor, the plow began to roll away. Renner tried to jump back into the driver’s seat and gain control of the plow but was unsuccessful. The snowplow, a PistenBully weighing at least 14,330 pounds, ran over the actor leaving him in critical condition. Renner was rushed to a local hospital in Reno where he underwent two surgeries the next day. In his time at the hospital, Renner remained in good spirits and kept fans up to date with his recovery progress through videos on social media. The videos showed that his eye was swollen shut and that he was breathing out of an oxygen mask. The actor’s mother, sister and other family members were with him and many of his co-stars had sent their best wishes via social media. Thankfully, the surgeries were successful, and Renner was released from the hospital on the 17th. Now back at his home, Renner is doing physical therapy and should be back at full health in no time.
