By: Leslie Lopez According to CNN a 2nd grader was expelled from her school for telling her crush, another girl, that she liked her. Chloe Shelton, The 2nd grader, attended Rejoice Christian School in Owasso, Oklahoma before she was expelled for expressing her feelings. The event happened on the playground, Chloe was immediately sent to the office where she missed multiple classes. Before the mother was brought into the office the principal told the young girl that God said women can only have children with men. Assuming that the young girl has thought of having kids in the future and if she does want kids in the future adoption is always an option. Delain Shelton, the girls mother, sees no problem with her daughter having those feelings towards other girls. The next day the superintendent expelled the young girl and her little brother for the mother’s belief not being the same as the school’s. Kylie Holden is an alum of the school and identifies as bisexual. Kylie took the matter on facebook and asked people to send care packages to the family. Many sent cards, money, and gifts to Chloe to let her know she is not alone and loved. Chloe has received more than 150 positive messages telling her that they are proud of her and that she is loved by them and God, for God says to love thy neighbor. Tragedy hit Indianapolis when a teenager decided to shoot a family and a pregnant woman on sunday. 17 year old Raymond Childs III was also charged for the attempted muder of a brother that fled the country after the shooting and carrying a gun without a license. Due to Raymond’s age and action he is being charged as an adult. The killings are the largest mass shooting in the city since ten years. Tragedy was prevented near the Capital in January. According to CNN and the FBI, pipe bombs were found near the Capitol on January 6 and it was said that they were planted the day before. Authorities have increased the reward for information, this case is one of the most troubling mysteries for authorities. On an updated wanted poster it says that the bomb was placed on January 5th round 7:30-8:30 p.m. The reward that the FBI and ATF are offering is $100,000 for knowledge of location, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) involved in this event. The bombs were placed out in the open and a 36 year old woman found them on her way back from doing laundry. It is unknown why the explosives did not go off. There is a theory for the question and it is that the timers were set incorrectly or the batteries were set incorrectly.
The bombs were eight inches long made out of galvanized steel and were rigged to egg timers filled with explosive powder. Investigators are urging the public to submit information in fear that the bomber can still be in work. The bombs were found on the 6th around 1:00 p.m EST. Investigators believe that the bombs were to divert law enforcement from the Capital as the rioters forced themselves in the building.
